Approximately one quarter inch thick, semi-smooth or coarse, this cement based plaster is a three dimensional raised surface application. Veins, joint lines or various shapes can be applied to almost any wall or ceiling surface. Upon curing, most color washes can be applied, creating an aged or modern look to this extremely durable product.
Natural “venetian type” plasters contain marble dust which produces an extremely smooth and light reflecting surface. In the hands of a craftsman, a trowel can produce a unique look in any room of your home. You can combine colors for added depth or use synthetic plasters for a more eclectic or textured look.
Decorative paint techniques can be used to set a mood or create a point of interest in any room. From the simple to the elaborate, decorative paint can give your home a unique look that rivals any picture found in a magazine or on a TV show.
With new designs, textures and colors, wall coverings are versatile and complimentary with one’s room furnishings. Today, photos can be reproduced with clarity and sharpness, providing personalized wall spaces. Used singularly or in combinations, wall coverings can be a focal point or the final piece that pulls all room elements together.
From the simple to the elegant, there are an abundance of choices for your tile needs. Glass, porcelain, or natural stone, to name a few, can help create the kitchen or bathroom of your dreams.
Bold with clean lines, a fireplace surround can define a room. With today’s technology, castings are made to your fireplace’s dimensions, and once installed can be painted in a color scheme to match your decor.

Paint is an amazing product. It can transform a room, create a mood, or play a part in a redesigned space. Why just paint a wall when you can create a look that is unique to your home. This picture shows a layered paint effect being applied to a staircase to highlight the overall height of this room. And in case you were wondering… we also paint walls and ceilings.
That’s me, Edward Dai, owner of Pristine Interiors. This picture was taken over 25 years ago at First Unitarian Congregational Society, located in Brooklyn, NY. Water had damaged part of the original plaster ceiling and I was hired to recreate the colors and pattern of the block design. I have been a licensed contractor for over 30 years, and I’m still going strong (with a little less hair, ok, bald! lol!)
